FIRSTLY: RECRUITING NEW FOUNDING MEMBERS

It is understood that all families joining our Association during the course of the year 2000( even if there are only 6 months or less left) will be considered as Founding Members and will have a right to this distinctive title for ever.

But recruiting is not easy. Many are waiting to see what they will get for their money...as for us, we are waiting to have the necessary money to go forward with interesting projects....The site is so well elaborated that we might not feel the need to join the Association.

You will find on the site the invitation letter that you can sign and enclose a registration form which you can mail to BESNERS, who according to you, could be interested in joining us right now. Duplicate these forms as often as needed. The mere fact that these invitations will come from you rather than from an anonymous person, could make a great difference between an acceptance and a polite refusal.

If you have any other bright ideas to increase the membership, please let us know.

SECONDLY: SUB-COMMITTEES

We would wish to see people offer their services, spontaneously, to work on sub-committees , where they would lend their skills for the betterment of the whole. Without excluding other possibilities, here is a list of such fields waiting for workers to initiate them.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE. Organize and realize recreational and family outtings such as: apple picking in the fall, sugar bush parties in the spring, recreational evenings, etc.

ARCHIVES COMMITTEE. Complete and/or improve the BESNER repertory(consider publishing it in writing some day). Borrow, reproduce, save and render available to all, photos(among others mortuary cards) concerning as many families as possible. Same procedure concerning notary acts and deeds, affidavits, donations, payments, bonds, accounts, diaries, scrap books etc. Each families own little story.

PERIODICAL JOURNAL COMMITTEE. Co-ordinate and/or write a Family Paper; get involved in the writing of a news report or an article: supplying one's skills for very specific tasks such as info-graphics, print-outs, printing, distribution, translation from French to English etc.

TRIP TO FRANCE COMMITTEE IN 2002. (250th anniversary of the departure of our ancestor for New France)

Plan an itinerary, get in contact with responsible persons abroad and her, make estimates of costs with travel agencies, publisize the project and gather the participants reservations, animate the trip, etc.

SPECIAL PROJECTS FINANCE COMMITTEE

When commemorative plaques will have to be conceived and installed, arrangements will be made for a special souvenir site, books will be published etc. additional costs will be encountered. We will require goodwill missionary collectors or very good financiers or both.

OTHERS. We will need on short terms, one or many computer science experts to guide those who will be using these modern means which accompany the computer such as scanners, CD's

HTM language for internet, Sy-Quest, Zip or others. We will need to have access to photocopier services print shops at low costs, etc. Once a year an audit will have to be made by accountants etc.

Everything to your standards or to the standard of your interests and/or your generosity to see YOUR Association of the BESNER Families blossom and prosper. It will be what you want it to be especially by contributing to its life.

- you may amend or improve the informations concerning your family as they actually appear in the REPERTORY; for doing so, be sure to give the whole of the details as they are suggested on a this specific form: go and see (but you cannot fill it on line)
