THE MOST RECENT "DISCOVERY" TRIP TO THE ANCESTOR'S NATIVE LAND

It is with almost as much pride as Christopher Columbus discovering America, that Laurent Besner discovered Savères in October 1999.	Savères and surroundings take great pride in protecting these oldbuildings built with bricks and stones.

Laurent Besner sojourned in France from October 4th to November 3rd 1999; he met with the Colin family (André and Marie-Renée Bézanère) in Versailles. This "cousin" and her husband are excitedly enthused about the interest we have for the ancestor's native land, and have shared it with Laurent , who brought me back the documents they have collected so far. The they took charge and set off with him on an five day tour by car, from Paris to Rochefort-Larochelle, and as far as Toulouse, stopping of course in Rieumes and Savères, where they met the mayors of both places to discuss our plans for the year 2002... Laurent also brought me back some fresh pictures of which a half dozen will be added ( or as replacements) to the site very shortly.
